Abstract

Through a closed-loop architecture of "perception-decision-execution", embodied intelligent welding robots deeply integrate visual perception, process large models and robot motion control, realizing a paradigm shift from "fixed program execution" to "autonomous intelligent welding". This paper systematically sorts out the technical connotation and core architecture of embodied intelligent welding robots, and analyzes the applicable characteristics of three types of robots in construction steel structure scenarios, including seven-axis ground-track inverted installation robots, intelligent collaborative welding robots and mobile (tracked) robots. Combined with practical application cases from enterprises such as Jiangsu Beiren, CSCEC Science and Industry Group, China Railway Baoji Bridge Group and Zhongke Optoelectronics, this paper demonstrates the technical advantages of embodied intelligence in addressing core pain points such as complex weld seam identification, adaptive adjustment of process parameters and compatibility with multi-variety workpieces. The research results indicate that embodied intelligent welding robots can cut the welding process development cycle by 60%, reduce comprehensive production costs by more than 40%, achieve a first-pass welding qualification rate exceeding 99%, and multiply the operation efficiency of single-person multi-machine deployment.
