This paper systematically outlines the overall structural composition, core classification criteria, and closed-loop operating principles of smart valves, and specifically investigates their application methods, operational logic, and practical value in five key process modules: influent control systems for wastewater treatment, biological aeration systems, sludge recirculation systems, chemical dosing systems, and remote intelligent monitoring systems. From an engineering application perspective, it deeply analyzes the core technological advantages of smart valves over traditional valves, and objectively identifies current challenges in equipment promotion, including high cost barriers, limited adaptability to complex operating conditions, shortage of professional maintenance personnel, insufficient system compatibility, and weak data security. Finally, considering industry trends such as smart water management, dual-carbon policies, and intelligent manufacturing, the paper forecasts future development directions for smart valves, including higher precision and durability, full-domain intelligence, industry standardization, and green, energy-efficient integration.
