Editorial Process
Journal of Digital Intelligence for Industry (JDII) implements a standardized, transparent, and efficient editorial workflow in full compliance with COPE guidelines and international academic publishing standards. All manuscripts undergo a rigorous multi-stage evaluation process to ensure academic quality, originality, and publishing fairness. The full editorial process is described as follows:
1. Initial Editorial Screening
Upon submission, the editorial office first conducts preliminary screening on the manuscript. The editors check the basic completeness, format standardization, topic relevance, academic norm compliance, and basic originality of the manuscript. Manuscripts that do not match the journal’s scope, fail to meet academic writing standards, or have obvious academic specification problems will be rejected at the initial stage without further peer review.
2. Assignment of Peer Reviewers
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be assigned to at least two independent, qualified experts in the corresponding research field for peer review. The journal strictly adopts a double-blind peer review model. Reviewers are required to avoid any conflicts of interest related to the manuscript or authors to ensure objective and impartial evaluation.
3. Double-Blind Peer Review
Reviewers comprehensively evaluate the manuscript in terms of academic originality, theoretical rationality, technical innovation, research depth, experimental authenticity, logical rigor, language quality, and academic citation norms. Each reviewer provides detailed review comments, modification suggestions, and an independent review decision (accept, revise, or reject).
4. Editorial Adjudication
After collecting all peer review reports, the editor-in-chief or responsible editor makes a final comprehensive judgment based on the reviewers’ opinions, the overall academic quality of the manuscript, and the journal’s publishing requirements. The final decisions include Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, and Reject.
If the review opinions are significantly inconsistent, the editorial office will invite additional expert reviewers for supplementary evaluation to ensure a fair and accurate result.
5. Author Revision and Resubmission
For manuscripts requiring revision, authors need to strictly revise the manuscript according to the review comments, provide a detailed point-by-point revision explanation, and resubmit within the specified time limit. The revised manuscript will be re-evaluated by the original reviewers or editorial experts. Timely revision compliance and response quality will affect the final acceptance result.
6. Final Acceptance and Academic Ethics Inspection
After the manuscript passes the final evaluation and reaches the acceptance standard, the editorial office will conduct a final inspection including academic ethics verification, similarity detection, data standard check, authorship compliance verification, and conflict-of-interest confirmation. Manuscripts that fully comply with publishing ethics and academic standards will be formally accepted for publication.
7. Production and Online Publication
Accepted manuscripts will enter the professional production stage, including language polishing, standardized typesetting, proofreading, and format unification. After author final proofreading and confirmation, the article will be officially published online. All published articles are immediately open-access available worldwide under the CC BY 4.0 license.
8. Post-publication Management
The journal retains long-term academic tracking of published articles. If academic errors, data problems, or ethical issues are found after publication, the journal will initiate correction, erratum, or retraction procedures following COPE standards to maintain the integrity and authenticity of academic records.
9. Time
From submission to publication, it takes approximately 2 to 12 months.
